“Excellent family stay in this superb villa. We fully enjoyed the outdoor spaces, both for meals and for refreshing ourselves in the pool. The regular and discreet visits of the gardener, as well as the pool maintenance, were very much appreciated. The villa is very well equipped; everything is ready for a comfortable day. It is also ideally located for discovering and visiting the region. We will return with great pleasure!”

“Our two weeks at El Huerta was delightful, clean, private and comfortable. After a delayed flight in to Malaga we arrived at 11pm after dark which was not our plan. The winding road up the hill from the MA7 towards Frigiliana, then the narrow lane was challenging in the dark, so we were grateful for the photos leading to the villa and the wide open gates as we arrived. Be prepared for the steep steps to the front door especially when carrying bags. Thank you to the staff for keeping the villa clean and tidy, the pool looking pristine, and the garden lush and green. Weather was wonderful as was the welcome pool and the air conditioning was a huge boon when it was needed. A memorable holiday spent lazing around the gardens and in the pool.”

“The Old Mill was beautiful - a characterful home, beautifully decorated and with gorgeous outdoor spaces. The only improvements would have been to have had a toilet on the ground floor or near to the pool instead of using the en-suites upstairs - and aircon in all the bedrooms - but we got used to it! The drive up to the house was a bit wild as it is so steep - especially as we had two cars - but we made it work. The pool is a highlight, with additional covered outdoor space with a fridge . Overall the whole place is magical, so many nooks and crannies to explore with doves and dragonflies occasionally coming to drink from the pool. It felt restful, peaceful and the views are incredible. It's minutes away from Frigiliana in the car and a handy Lidl towards Nerja for stocking up. Eos were super quick to respond prior to arriving. (Recommend Malagacar for great car rental Molino Viejo - we'll be back!”

“We had a wonderful stay in La Molineta. The villa is even more lovely than the photos suggest, with plenty of space for a family including three teenagers. The pool area is excellent and, as with the villa and grounds, maintained to a very high standard. There are numerous terraces to catch the sun/shade at different points in the day, all with plentiful comfortable seating and umbrellas. Air conditioning in the living area and two of the bedrooms was a boon. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped. We had a car and used it for trips out to Antequera and Granada (around 90 mins away), Nerja and surrounding beaches (10 mins) and from and to the airport in Malaga (60 mins). The villa is a 20 minute walk from the centre of Frigliana and there is a bakery on the nearer side of the town about a 10 minute walk away. These walks do include some steeper sections, so a good level of mobility/fitness is required. This is genuinely a beautiful villa in a stunning location.”

“Beautiful villa with everything you could need, set in stunning surroundings and within easy reach of Frigiliana and Nerja. The gardener kept the pool and garden area spotless throughout our stay. Walking into Frigiliana is uphill, and there are quite a few steps leading to the villa, so this is worth considering when booking. Local taxis were easy to arrange and cost around €10 each way into town. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend El Pocito.”

“This house is amazing, it is much more spacious than the photos show and so private too which we loved. It is the perfect place to be out on the mountainside but just a short 15 minute drive to the beach / Nerja and 5 minutes into the village of Frigiliana or to the nearby shops. The driveway up to the house is a steep one but manageable if you’re a confident driver and follow their detailed instructions. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for family meals at the villa. Everything was clean and tidy and the pool was cleaned regularly while we were there for a week. The gardens are beautiful and so nice to have several spaces that you can enjoy through the days and evenings. 2 of the bedrooms have aircon and the others had fans, all bedrooms have on suit shower rooms with toilets which is really nice to have too. We certainly hope to return again soon!”

“We had a fantastic stay at this Villa it felt more like a home than a rental.Very well provided for in the kitchen area with lovely BBQ and lots of great seating areas.Pool was fantastic and great to have a drinks fridge in that are. Only the access up the very steep hill was a little problematic but we got used to it quite quickly.”

“We know this area well and stay in a rented villa every year. As we were on our own this year and still wanted a rustic style casita with a pool/garden etc there was little in the way of small one/two bedrooms available. We were a little apprehensive but found this place to be absolutely perfect in every way. The pool is a very generous size and the gardens and terrace wonderful for relaxing and enjoying the orchard ambience the south facing view to the sea. Although surrounded closely by two or three other larger villas in the hamlet of Molineta the privacy is virtually total because of the trees and vegetation and you would never know. The kitchen was very well equipped (Le Creuset pots and pans) and there is great wifi. Great quirky and friendly bar 100 metres away.”

“Beautiful villa exactly as described. Having the lawned garden felt such a treat, the pool is a good size and landscaping is stunning. The bed is comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. To be honest, we were barely inside! Kitchen is small but plenty for what we wanted, having a washing machine was a really useful touch.”

It's quite a steep walk up to the villa and a car would be recommended, although we did work out the bus will stop near the bins at bar Molineta to get to Frigiliana & Nerja. Beautiful setting and views from the terraces. Would highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.”

“Cosy and homey little villa. Well-equipped kitchen with filtered water tap and pantry with large fridge-freezer and washing machine. Comfortable sitting room and bedroom, with a well-appointed bathroom and dressing room. Amazing views down the mountain to the sea from every window! The garden is gorgeous and the pool is wonderful on a hot day. 10 minute drive up the mountain to the lovely village of Frigiliana, with nice restaurants in the old village and 20 minutes to the coast at Nerja. Ideal for a peaceful getaway for two!”

“We had the most amazing holiday at Molino Viejo. The property is very well looked after and tastefully decorated throughout and Sam was very welcoming and helpful on our arrival. Molino Viejo was very comfortable for our family of 7 and had everything we could wish for. The grounds are also immaculately maintained as was the pool. The location just out of the town was perfect for us and the views from the pool were stunning. It was a very restful holiday. We all loved it. We were so delighted we have booked again already!”

“What a beautiful place to stay on the edge of Frigiliana. The pool area and the house are both amazing - lots of space - we were a family of 4 but would have been plenty of room for 6 or even 8 if more couples. Furnished to a very high standard.Pretty steep to walk up to and we chickened out of driving the car up to the house but we found space in La Molineta to park. A lovely walk down to the river bed and then along and then back up into Frigiliana.Nice that Sam popped in to check that we were ok as well and gave us some helpful tips.”

“El Pocito - Living in another era like in your favorite novel of times long past When we arrived at this traditional Andalusian home with white washed walls and the most beautiful patio in February, I was awed by its beauty, but it was freezing at night. My first thought was: Wouldnt it be nice, if we were allowed to light the lovely fireplaces in the living room upstairs and the large kitchen with dining area downstairs? But of course, this was not allowed anymore in this three hundred years old house. Still, it was lovely there, very special, and I felt like living in a novel of a time long past, when I saw all the little stairs inside the house leading up to a second entrance and the upstairs-WC with sink in the utility room with washing machine and down to the second bedroom in the back of the house. My own bedroom, the main bedroom, was level with the living room on the first floor. It was that room, where you could really see and enjoy the loving care the owner had taken, to keep the traditional charm of this house whilst adding large floor deep bay windows to one side, which allowed me a fantastic view over the Sea and the hilly green landscape. If you are the kind of person who enjoys a cup of coffee in bed whilst watching the sunrise over the Sea Go for it! The main bedroom and the living room are equipped with air condition, which in our case served as a heating in winter. As I didn't really feel like sleeping with a closed window and the air condition switched on all night, the owner brought me a very warm winter duvet, which was fantastic, and from that moment on I enjoyed a very good nights sleep. During the day the temperatures were between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius with an amazing blue sky all week long, so we spend most of the time outside on the lovely large patio with a very beautifully designed pool with Andalusian tiles like in the Alhambra. As this lovely patio is lined by a terrace garden to the right, there are also higher levels from where you have a fantastic Sea View, whist at the same time the view from everywhere into the blue sky and the green, hilly landscape is amazing. Frigiliana is a beautiful Pueblo Blanco with nice restaurants and stunning views over the hills and the Sea, and Nerja, only about six kilometers from the property, is a lovely town with lots of white houses with red roofs, beautiful beaches, lots of restaurants and cafes and the famous Balcón de Europa, where you have the most fantastic One with the Sea experience, as this great plaza is built right into or above the Sea. I love this place and am sure to come back here again and again. Here is my recommendation: In my view this lovely, traditional Andalusian Home with one full bathroom with a modern, large shower, a WC and a heated towel rack an additional WC without shower upstairs is highly recommendable in the warmer month from April to November for a family with one or two children, who can already swim and like to run around freely in this beautiful, large patio with its exciting secret passages, its lovely, very beautiful pool and this special air of freedom for the kids, whilst they are completely safe. As to go from the upstairs living and sleeping area downstairs into the large kitchen with dining area and added modern bathroom you always have to step outside, climb down the stairs to the patio and then enter the kitchen, you and your children will always have to path by the patio and can therefore enjoy a deep sense of freedom and living outdoor as much as indoors, which is seldom found in modern living. I know, if I were still a child, I would adore being able to be outside all day long without having to ask my parents for permission every time I leave the house.”

“A beautiful rustic property with the most amazing private garden and your own very generous pool. The tapas bar a 30-second walk away is friendly and quirky. This was our second visit to El Huerto - we loved it so much the first time we had to come back. Highly recommended.”
